@ miss moon: I think Min Ho did not stand for everyone. Half the time, e had to stand UP because he was in the line of path. Him and So Ji Sub seemed to be getting along so well! Hahaha.

I FOUND IT! I FOUND SBS AWARDS SHOW WITH CHINESE TRANSLATION!! Ok, so I am downloading it now and will then be able to translate the different parts.

So much easier than finding each clip separately!

Two questions:

1) Why didn't Woobin win New star award? Wasn't he considered new like Ji Won too (except he's more popular of course). Pity the boy only won 1 award. I think he deserved more for his role as Young Do. IMO he can even be nominated for Excellence Actor but because of Korea award's "rule" on seniority (which sucks big time. If you're good, then you're good) he couldn't be nominated.

2) Why didn't LMH win Best Couple with his co-star back then during City Hunters since a lot of ppl commented his chemistry was better than with Shinhye? City Hunter's ratings was high so why didnt they win?

I can probably answer question 2 sis nzida.

First, City Hunter's ratings were high, but still not as high as Heirs. I think there are 2 big reasons why Min-Min couple did not win. If you watch City Hunter, the romance was pretty much killed off by the end of the show. It was only good in the beginning because the writer ended up focusing on the action more at the end. There was also not as much skinship with Min-Min than with Min-Hye. Heirs is much more focused on the romance rather than the plot. I remember when I finished watching City Hunter, i was so mad and disappointed because the writer did not do the romance any justice. I thought the ending SUCKED! Another thing to keep in mind, when the 2012 SBS Awards rolled around, Min Ho and Min Young had already broken up so it would be awkward for her to attend. She went to another awards show anyways where she was nominated for another role.

Seniority does suck. The one Heirs cast member I do feel bad for is Choi Jin Hyuk. He got NEW STAR, similar to what I felt for Shin Hye when she won NEW STAR in 2009. Jin Hyuk has been around for awhile. I think it would be a bit too much if Young Do jumped right into getting one of the most prestigious award right off the bat. Getting Top 10 is already pretty good being a rookie. He's in the same category as So Ji Sub and Jo In Sung, who have acted for more than a decade.

btw, what do u think of the performances that night? I enjoyed the awards show because of the spotlight on MinHye but i though the performances wasn't too exciting. Why didn't they do a medley on SBS hit dramas OST? And i don't understand why's there no best drama, directing, writing and ost awards? Those are the key roles. Korean awards are sure weird.

I did like the awards show for the same reason as you sis nzida. There were so many Min-Hye moments and the camera constantly panned on Min Ho and Shin Hye. I do think that Min Ho was the center of attention in the awards show. Almost every segment had something to do with him!

The only performance I liked were the kids' one. They were so cute! I was thinking the same!! Shouldn't they give something to the people behind the scenes? Best writer, which would be Kim Eun Sook? Best producer? Best scenery? I would have TOTALLY loved it if both Min Ho and Shin Hye sang their corresponding OST songs or had a duet together. That's why I loved the 2009 performance of ANJELL!! Overall, I did like it though. I still find it is one of the best awards show I've seen thus far because of the biases.

I was looking around at the other stars' accolades. Rest assured sisters. Lee Bo Young, who won Daesang this year, only received her first Top Excellence Award last year and her first Excellence Award the year before but it took 10 years to make it to where she is and she is older than Shin Hye by a good 11 years. So Ji Sub has been around for 16 years and the best he has won is Top Excellence. But here is a pattern I've found. For one particular station, if you have already won a certain award, you will not win anything less than that with the same station in the future. So what I am saying is that if Shin Hye has another drama with SBS and wins an award for acting, she can't win anything LESS than Excellence so she will either continue to win Excellence or win the more prestigious ones like Top Excellence or Daesang. That's why Min Ho was able to predict what he was going to win. Because he has been winning Top 10 and Top Excellence for the last 2 years with SBS, he can't get anything less than those two. The next award up would be Daesang but he has a bit too young for that. This ranking makes sense because how do you become less of an actor with time?

So gals, Shin Hye may just continue winning Excellence or Top Excellence for awhile with SBS.

I think that each station gives different awards. Not sure if SBS ever gave best director or writer.

Thanks Sis Mandy for the info. It made sense. So Shinhye can get something equal or higher up. But there is also a possibility she might not win anything despite being nominated in a higher category right?

I think the behind the scene ppl should get recognition as well. Without them these actors and actress will be jobless

Yes, that is what I think. It's neither she's nominated or not nominated first but if she is nominated, she can't get anything less than Excellence Actress for SBS. However, she might get something lower for other TV stations like KBS or MBC.
