Park Shin Hye wins popularity award at ’2013 Anhui TV Drama Awards’

South Korean actress Park Shin Hye attended the ‘2013 Anhui TV Drama Awards’ organized by Anhui TV on December 18th, where she won the Most Popular Overseas Actress Award, and also performed her OST from ‘The Heirs’ on the night.
The drama awards began in 2008, and
picks out the most popular dramas and actors every year within Mainland China. Besides China, over 1,000 dramas from South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand are also in the running for most popular dramas and actors.
Park Shin Hye was able to win the award with ease, thanks to her huge popularity in China. Park Shin Hye wore an elegant black evening gown on the night, and showed her goddess-like image. At the ceremony, Park Shin Hye also sang the theme song ‘Story’ for her role of Cha Eun Sang from her recent SBS TV drama ‘The Heirs’.
Park Shin Hye played the role of ‘the heiress of poverty’ Cha Eun Sang in ‘The Heirs’, and was in a love triangle with the characters played by Lee Min Ho and Kim Woo Bin. Due to her numerous crying scenes, Park Shin Hye was even conferred a title as ‘Tears Princess’, and also won rave reviews from viewers for her stellar acting. Her popularity has extended overseas to China, and is receiving much love and support from Chinese fans.
S.A.L.T Entertainment said, “The Chinese fans are really loving Park Shin Hye, and the response from the media agencies in China are also very positive. We can really feel her popularity in China. She will be taking in interviews today (December 19th) from Enlight Media Group, Sina.com, QiYi.com, YouKu, Tudou, and other prominent media agencies. She will then leave for Japan on December 20th to prepare for her ‘Park Shin Hye’s Special Present’ fan meeting in Tokyo a day later.
