Synopsis:
The Empress (Myung Se Bin) is in her early 30s, but she is still not married. Since, the 1st successor to the throne died, the royal family is in search for a new successor. Incidentally, they come to know of a young man who was in fact a son of the prince to a woman who left the Palace for her to be able to keep her pregnancy a secret. The young man's name was Lee Hoo (Se7en), more commonly known to his friends as Kang Hoo. Lee Hoo worked as a delivery boy at a Chinese restaurant, and was known for his 7-minute maximum delivery time. Lee Hoo had been brought up as more of a punk than a prince so his habits and his way of conversing were very different from the people of royal blood. Although he had never dreamt of living in the Palace, he one day finds himself immersing himself in its grandeur and improving himself to prove that he indeed deserves to be called the Successor to the throne.

He soon finds out that not only will he be facing lessons to the path of royalty, and dilemmas of love and of stature, but he will also learn to compete for the position he had been, first and foremostly, called for.

Shin Sae Ryung (Park Shin Hye): Honor and power, Sae-Ryung grew up in a wealthy family. She has never lost first place/spot at school (meaning she's very smart)...she has skills and the looks of becoming prince's wife. She always had the ambition of becoming a royal princess. However, the prince that she has always imagined of is completely different when she see's Lee Hoo's sudden appearance. A change comes to her way.

the only reason i am watching this is because of our lovely SH...i'm sorry to say but the original Goong is way much better than this.

all the main actors/actress really didn't do a good job of portraying their role..i mean i got so bored and fell asleep...of course, i'd be awake whenever SH appears on the screen, she's the only one out of the leads that knew how to ACT...

i think i may have enjoyed it better if SH played the lead role instead of that girl...i don't even know her name, sorry...
but of course, i know i'm biased when it comes to PSH, didn't mean to offend any fans of the other casts...

this is being shown here in the Philippines now.
SH's voice is kinda OK.i still wish i hear her voice everytime i watch it.

and i was like shocked to see it aired over there.
coz some of the dramas shown over at studio 23 are re-runs.
i haven't finished that drama though.

after episode 3 i got bored. lol!
maybe i just don't like the leads and shinhye's partner a bit old for her. XD

i also got bored while watching it. psh is the only reason why i did watch it. i didnt finish it though. the goong is really way better. not a big fan of the main lead.

If only they made a Second season it would have been much better instead of a sequel.
And what the heck the guy (who shinhye was paired up with) is already 30 y/o. 10 years difference.
