Three Meals A Day (Season 2) (ep3): Highlights...contd...
3. For the first time in Three — teabreak By Cat that watches TV Correction: first time in Three under Seo-jinnie’s watch. Usually the guys eat breakfasts at 12-1pm (brunch?) and dinners can extend till midnight. But with Shin-hye around, breakfasts, lunches and dinners are served at proper timings (the last time it happened was when Choi Ji-woo unni was guest) — and you even get to have an extra meal: teabreak. Or technically, makgeolli-break.  With the leftover flour from frying the tiny river fish, Shin-hye makes pajeon (spring onions pancake). And the guys break from planting to feast on makgeolli and jeon. Seo-jinnie laters instruct Taec to fry eggs as well, since the jeon is too tiny to feed 3 grown men. |

4. International feasts By Cat that watches TV Won’t happen if Shin-hye isn’t around — Na PD gives in to her aegyo again when she whines that she needs meat after all the hard work. And so, the guys are rewarded with a heaping pile of beef slices For dinner, Shin-hye suggests Japanese shabu-shabu (hotpot), which is dead easy to prepare. If you don’t have shabu sauce, Shin-hye’s recommendation of 3:1:1 works juz as well. 3 portions of dark soya sauce to 1 portion(s) of cooking mirin/ sakae and sugar each.  Maknae freaked out when Shin-hye says the raw beaten egg is the “dipping sauce” (for a fact, Japanese do dip the cooked meat into the raw egg, since the shabu soup base is very salty). However, after his first bite, he is gamed for more.  On the side, Taec becomes the official cocktail mixer. Seo-jinnie’s bakery: Open for Business By Cat that watches TV Disclaimer: Seo-jinnie will never be like Chajumma, whose first attempt at baking bread using zero measuring implements still turns out perfect. To be fair though, even though the end result is a slightly burnt baguette, it still sorta tastes like one?  The first dough turns out to be a slushy mess; Attempt No. 2 is much better. Though from my experienced pov: Seo-jinnie is treating the dough a little too nicely. (bread dough needs to be “punished” with heavy kneading and thumping and slapping before being thrown into the oven…best form of de-stressing if you envisage a person you hate as the dough)  The oven also turns out to be not as efficient as it appears. Despite looking more “modern” than Papa Yoo’s primitive stone oven, Seo-jinni’s brick oven somehow doesn’t trap enough heat. So much so that the bread takes 2h to bake, when the average time is max half an hour.  So while waiting for the baby to pop (the running gag throughout), Shin-hye prepares a quick somen (Japanese/ Korean fine rice noodles) breakfast to stave off the growling tummies.  And when the bread is — finally — done, it is slathered with home made garlic spread and Taec turns cocktail mocktail mixer again, by coming up with a strawberry soda shake.

Hullo everyone!
 For a short project, her stint on TMAD is really producing endless news of the best type. I cannot have enough of it... It seems Shinhye cannot let go of them too. She really must have had wonderful time to invite all including LSG ( close friend of hers and PDNa) to her parents restaraunt that was closed for that time. According to various sources ......everyone had a blast with lots of good food, good company and laughter all around....Shinhye went around grilling for everyone.... Was it a celebration too for the Daesang won by the PD for variety program and her winning too alongwith the success of her appearance in TMAD❓ After all it did come on top in the time slot! .. BadBat.....you are welcome.....you will definitely continue to see her making news wave throughout the year.....despite not starring in a proper drama or a MV........just my feeling. You will not be starved from watching her. Eg.....the latest being jedujo MV with Super Junior! Choiinha......you can find the English subbed episode 2 with Shinhye in this thread. The one for episode 3 has yet to be seen. We are waiting. It should be out by Monday done by the same team . Fgnuva....yes, it's summertime in South Korea. I am happy you enjoyed reading about the third episode. We cannot have enough can we? Shinhye most probably should be going to italy for the backpacking trip ....as she once mentioned in an interview. It most probably will be before the start of her semester.....sometime in July, I think.... She does star in Beauty Inside but it's a very short appearance......maybe too short because I don't see her in the official poster of the MV. Elena.......thank you for your encouraging, warm and affectionate words .....like always. I always feel so good when I find you here when I come. It's been rare these past many times. I missed you. Ms Maris thanks for sharing those posts. You seem to have ways of getting all those video or photo abt PSH. Just keep posting every little piece of info re PSH. Any news abt her is interesting. With her appearance on 3MAD I got curious abt Tacyeon even if I am currently a YongShin fan. Have seen 3MAD episodes 1 & 2 twice. Waiting for Ep 3 w/ subs.
