FT Island’s Flower Rock is #3 on Oricon Daily

Rocker idol group FT Island definitely left an impression on Japanese fans with the release of their debut single Flower Rock as the boys are now gracing the #3 position on Oricon charts.

FT Island first dropped the news about entering the Japanese music market around late March and soon after, they released the full MV for their debut single Flower Rock. The full single was released on the 19th and has already hit the #3 spot on the Oricon Daily Singles chart.

A representative of the group stated, “On the Japanese Tower Record charts, the boys are also on the third position, right behind Arashi. The group held a fansigning event at Tower Record Shibuya to commemorate their album release. Within an hour, all the albums had been sold out.”

This is the first official album release for FT Island. Years prior, the boys had been releasing Japanese albums under an indie label. That all changed this year when the boys signed with Warner Music Japan earlier this year.

(news] FTIsland is doing well in their Japanese Debut

FT Island is doing well at the major music market in Japan.

FT Island made their official debut in Japan last May 19 with the release of their Japanese Single "Flower Rock". After it was released, the music sales was doing well, it was on the Oricon singles chart.

FT Island's agency was very happy with the results especially being just a few ranks away from Arashi which has topped the Oricon Singles Chart. Being in the same chart as Arashi is an accomplishment itself as well. Also, they held a surprise event at the Tower Records Shibuya branch and the tickets were sold out in an hour to their surprise.

FT Island has already signed in with their Japanese label last year, but only announced earlier that this year they have signed with Warner Music Japan which handled their first major debut at the Japanese market.

FT Island will be having live event's on May 22 and 23 at Osaka, Tokyo.

After celebrating their 1000 days, which happened to be the same day as Lee Hongki birthday, they flew to Japan and will stay there until the end of August for their Major Debut under the combination of new Japanese label company, Warner Music Japan and their official label company, F&C Music. Because of their boosting popularity nowadays, Warner Music step forward to offer this group a bigger promotion in the Japanese Market. On May 19, 2010, F.T. Island will release their new single under Warner Music. In order to do a bigger promotion, Warner Music needs the group to stay there for 5 months for more activities like fanmeeting, magazine, interviews, short concert etc. After promoting single, F.T Island will focus on their comeback album in Korea, which should be released in September 2010. It is believed that their 6th album will be a bomb since it is a combination of both F&C and Warner Music. They'll also have their new Japanese show which will be aired starting 7th April.
