Thank you so much,
jaimejks-psh, posting the spoilers. I'm enjoying reading all the extras. I think we will see more of Jeremy 'crushing' on MN, hehehe. Too bad the elevator peeing scene was not included in the series.
I have a question for the ones with the DVDs: How are the English subs? I was on the YAB thread on soompi, and jdarcy mentioned that the English subs are not the best
here is jdarcy's post:
out of all the interviews, i think the director's and JGS's were the best - very informative. i especially loved what JGS said about TK and the ending...JGS said he thinks TK would have gone after MN to africa- TK would have waited around for MN to call or write and if she got busy and he went like a week without contact - impatient person that he is- he would have hopped on a plane and went looking for MN. at first he would have a hard time adjusting to all the dirt and discomfort- staying in a run down hotel, dealing with the weather, etc. but pretty soon he would be right there next to MN getting dirty and helping out with all his heart and not thinking about his discomfort anymore and he would grow as a person. JGS said this is what he believed TK would do and i gotta say, hearing him say that made me grateful for ordering this director's cut dvd.
i watched all the interviews and the 2 extra BTS cds and i felt bad that so many people who cant understand korean would miss out on all these cute and funny moments and comments - i have no idea how anyone could translate all of that - it would take forever but if some kind korean speaking souls could contribute translating what they can here and there - i bet we could cover the best scenes and parts at least.
i never held out hope that those BTS would have translations - there just wasnt enough time to do all that and even american DVDs dont have the extras like commentaries subbed either so why would korea?
gotta say, the english subtitles for this was not done well- they just did direct translations and didnt really capture the essence of what the characters were saying verbatim-alot of the meaning was cut and it was too abrupt. if you want an example of great subbing, you guys should check out a japanese drama called "the flowershop that doesnt sell roses" i downloaded the eng subbed version off VEOH and the subtitles were perfect and accurate. i wish koreans cared enough to take the time and do it well- i have yet to find even one drama box set that had decent subtitles.
oh,
almontel, where do you live in the LA area? I'm in the South Bay area, and I didn't get my DVD package or a notice for package pick-up. I'm so disappointed. I'm hoping it will be here by Monday.
