‘Royal Tailor’ Cancels VIP Preview Due to Shutdown of Lotte World Cinema

An affiliate of Royal Tailor released an official statement on December 17, stating, “The VIP preview of Royal Tailor, which was scheduled for December 18, has been canceled because the Lotte World Cinema theatre has tentatively been shut down,” and added, “We’re quickly trying to find ways to deal with the sudden situation. We ask for your understanding.”

Royal Tailor was originally scheduled to hold the VIP preview and a mini talk show on December 18 at the World Tower Lotte Cinema Cine Park in Jamsil. However, when Lotte Cinema World Tower decided to tentatively shut down the theatre starting December 17, Royal Tailor had no choice but to postpone the event.



An affiliate of Royal Tailor told Newsen, “The new date and place for the VIP preview have not been decided yet. We’re currently in disucssion so we will make the announcement as soon as the decision is made.”

Lotte Cinema rep previously announced on December 16, “Due to the noise and vibrations that occured in Lotte Cinema World Tower theater number 14, Lotte Cinema World Tower will temporarily stop its operations, following the measures of the Seoul Metropolitan Government,” and added, “We sincerely apologize for causing you any inconvenience because of this.”

Go Soo says Park Shin-hye is mature and decent

Actor Go Soo complimented Park Shin-hye, his co-starring actress in the upcoming period film “The Tailors.”

During a recent interview with a local news outlet on Wednesday, Go said that Park “knows what she needs to do as an actress.”



“It’s hard for an actress to promote her film when she is participating in the drama shoot,” Go said.

However, Park knew what she had to do and managed her job. She is very mature and decent, not being pretentious in front of camera or staff,” he added.

In the film, Go plays the role of Gong Jin, a skilled designer in the Joseon Dynasty while Park plays the queen. The two have a slight romantic chemistry, bringing tension to the movie.


“The Tailors” deals with a story happening in “Sanguiwon,” a place inside the palace that tailors the formal clothes of Joseon era kings. Starring actors include Go, Park, actor Han Suk-kyu, Ma Dong-suk and Yoo Yeon-suk.
