I don't think it will be bad for her to work with seasoned actors. At least her acting will be more focused instead of who is her partner. Younger male partner/costar tend to detract the acting because people are so focused on the romantic scenes and start shipping the couple. Then you have articles about the kissing scenes (like the closet kiss or donut kiss in the Heirs or the snow kiss and bread kiss in Pinocchio). The articles didn't mention about the actual acting. If you notice in Shin Hye's past dramas, when she acts with older/seasoned costars, there's no shipping (at least I haven't seen any, correct me if I am wrong).

For the SBS drama, "Doctors" that is being planned for June... So far we have names thrown in as lead roles being offered, is positively considering/reviewing, waiting for confirmation .....
Doctors is slated to follow Jackpot (after Six Flying Dragons) on Mondays and Tuesdays in June.

Now we have a possible male lead, in Kim Rae-Won.

Actor Kim Rae-won has been offered the role of a gifted neurosurgery specialist. He’s got a lively personality and is so affable that most people trust him right away, and he’s described as a realist through and through. Kim Rae-won’s management released a statement that they’d only received an offer, and no one’s been confirmed for the series yet, so I fully expect them to go a few more rounds before we get a main cast locked down.

What will be his possible role.... another Doctor perhaps or a chaebol ? we all know somehow dramas has chaebol character will he be the person Lee Sung Kyung loves and but was "stolen" from her, she turn to becomes evil/spiteful... Woah.. so it looks like he may like our Shinhye's character... Interesting !

Hopefully when we get some confirmations from them,.... is when they will have the first reading pictures... or in May with possible pre-production filming in May, before June.

Is Yoon Kyun-sang just going to take up permanent residence at SBS? All four of the dramas he’s been in including his debut have been at the network — Faith, Pinocchio, The Time I’ve Loved You, and the currently-airing Six Flying Dragons, where he’s kicking ass and taking names. Now he’s in talks to take on his fifth show at SBS, the medical drama Doctors that’s currently courting Pinocchio co-star Park Shin-hye to headline.

The new series is about a young woman who starts out as a gangster in her youth and works her way up an unfair social hierarchy at a hospital to become a neurosurgeon. Park Shin-hye is in talks to play the heroine, a bold character who’s obstinate and has to overcome her distrust of other people. She carries some scars that darkened her outgoing personality and turned her into someone who doesn’t want relationships of any kind.

Kim Rae-won (Punch) has been offered the leading role opposite her, a neurosurgery specialist with an affable, trustworthy image who’s a staunch realist. And Lee Sung-kyung (Cheese in the Trap) is up for the role of the heroine’s high school classmate and rival in the neurosurgery department. She’s from a wealthy doctor family and is hung up on getting her first love stolen from her.

Yoon Kyun-sang is considering the part of a chaebol heir neurosurgeon. The character is the eldest son of one of the country’s leading conglomerate families, but in order to free himself from his father’s expectations for him to take over the company, he becomes a doctor. Gee, a brain surgeon, what a huge disappointment to daddy dearest. He dreams of a carefree life and of a love like a roller coaster, and will fall for the peculiar gangster-turned-doctor heroine who enters his life like Fate.

Yoon Kyun-sang is in contract negotiations, so it seems likely that he’ll sign on. He and Park Shin-hye didn’t share many scenes in Pinochcio (he played Lee Jong-seok’s older brother), but they’d probably be really adorable together in a romance. Even if it ends up being one-sided. I think?

Doctors is scheduled to follow Jackpot on Mondays and Tuesdays beginning in June.

Kim Rae-Won, Park Shin Hye and Lee Sung Kyung have been offered the roles in an upcoming SBS drama series “Doctors” (working title). Earlier working title was “Female Gangster Hye-Jung.” The three actors are still considering the offers

The drama tells a story about a young woman, Hye-Jung, who had a rough adolescence but has tried to overcome her past by becoming a doctor. "Doctors" explores the relationship between patients and doctors while touching on academic elitism in the Korean society.

If Park Shin Hye accepts the offer, she will play the lead character Hye-Jung. Actress Lee Sung Kyung is also looking into making her return to the small screen, almost immediately after wrapping up the popular drama “Cheese in the Trap.” She is considering the role of Seo Woo, a neurosurgery fellow, who is the rival of main character Hye Jung.

Kim Rae-Won was offered the lead male role. His character is Hong Ji-Hong, a smart, bright, highly social neurosurgeon.

“Doctors” will first air June 20, 2016 in South Korea.

Really curious about the reason s of the delay in the announcement ....either way...positively or not!
Have they decided and Are they waiting for the right time?
They are still considering this offer with others?
Are they negotiating or still talking to GE better understanding?

Okay, I guess I will have to update on my point of view about Kim Rae Won. In my previous post, I mention about him doing lighthearted drama and whether he can do it or if it's going to have dark overtone. I forget that I am talking about a veteran actor who have done many dramas already and different genres. I just remember him because of Punch and Gangnam Blues movie (tough, dark guy) So I decided to see what else he did. And this video change my mind about him in doing only serious, dark dramas/movies. It's a CF of Fried Chicken back in 2004. He was actually cute. So now, I think he is capable and compatible in doing drama with Shin Hye.

I seriously don't know whether to be excited or sad about Doctors. Medical drama ??? If Kim Raewon accepts the male lead we can give up on thinking that story will revolve around Shinhye's character. Plus Int. fans finds medical dramas boring. Most of the comments i read in Doctors articles are .... writer is not good, KRW's too old for her, there will be no chemistry ??!!, writer is known for ruining the drama and actors. I myself don't think this drama will work...that i don't know why ?? I may be wrong here tho.... but ...

The story or the drama not yet started and yet there is a lot of negative thoughts about it.Why dont we see it first the drama before we judge..maybe the reason they are not announcing any developments its because the actors are still negotiating with the role..talent fee the story and when they meet half way they will announce it if their going to push through or give up the drama..
