Park Shin Hye will be acting as the heroine, who chooses to become a reporter due to her ‘Pinocchio syndrome’, which makes her hiccup every time she lies.

It has been reported that director Hwang Ki Young from iHQ, the production company of Pinocchio, has sent numerous love calls to Park Shin Hye ever since the project proposal came out.

Park Shin Hye, who has been searching for her next project after filming The Heirs and Royal Tailor, decided that Pinocchio is a charming project that depicts love, frustration and growth of youth in their 20’s and decided to take the role.

She was also attracted to Pinocchio because she wanted to take after heroine In Ha’s honest and confident character.

Pinocchio will be airing in November, following My Lovely Girl.


I am hoping for unexpected turn of events not too melo but a twist, not just youth charms, growing pains exciting, unpredictable that will make the audience glued and wanting more.... that type I'll be expecting some rivalry between the leads since they are working in different networks.
