1. Jong Suk said in his last work, he had to work hard to add something to the role, but this time just to express everything in the script is hard enough.

2. Jong Suk said he is very happy when he is doing the shootings, just extremely sleep deprived. (Shooting 5 days/week, basically just 2 hours of rest.)

3. SBS Drama Dept Head said SBS drama is going to be resurrected, and Pinocchio is the start.

4. Jin Kyung (In Ha’s mom) said her best scene in this drama is the one with Jong Suk on the bridge in ep 3. “The emotional line is good, and she has a good rapport with Jong Suk. Very good looking. Didn’t know it will be shot on the bridge beforehand, she thought it would not be good because there was a car in front and on the bridge, but she saw the broadcast, she found that the effect was very good after the cross editing, she is very satisfied.

5. Jong Suk said the scene in which he will reveal his emotions tonight will be a beautiful one.

6. Jong Suk said the script is good, close to life, meticulous in content, the story line is coherent, everyone’s motivation is very obvious, and every role is very lovable. I do hope Shinhye gets better soon. The only way out of this is rest and plenty of fluids. I know they are not getting enough sleep from the posted pictures. So many great news about her this month.

What do you guys think of Pinocchio being included in SBS drama awards for this year? I feel that it's not right because it's not even halfway . How can they judge on basis of that? It's not comparing apples to apples....

Hi Maris.... this is the season for many more things to do... multi-tasking is tough at times.. just me happy that you'll be back as much as you possibly can.


I think they official included Pinocchio for the SBS drama awards. There are pros and cons.... one pro that was mentioned earlier was while it is still fresh and ppl are responding very well to Pinocchio, to Shinhye and Jongsuk and the whole casts, the PD, and of course the writer, the cinematography and the OTP love story. The con could be like, some say, the competing dramas.

thinking about it makes me anxious this early... so I want to enjoy Pinocchio, each characterization, each plot, each episode for now.

Park Shin-hye at Press Conference for Drama ‘Pinocchio’! 11th Anniversary of Her Debut



Press conference of SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama Pinocchio was held at SBS office building in Yangcheon District, Seoul on December 3. Lee Jong-suk , Park Shin-hye, Kim Young-kwang, Lee Yoo-bi participated.

The date that press conference was held was the date of 10th anniversary of Park Shin-hye’s debut.

Park Shin-hye said, “I received Juvenile Award for drama Stairway to Heaven, which aired in 2003, and I was given ‘Best Actress Award’ for drama <The Heirs> last year, the year that marked the 10th anniversary of my debut. I choked up when I received the award.” She also added, “I made comeback with SBS drama in a year. I feel like I am a full time worker of SBS. (She laughed) I also thought I should show better acting in this drama.”

Drama Pinocchio is attracting popularity with high ratings. Park Shin-hye said, “I think my fans like it when I post video clip of this drama on my SNS. Sometimes people who have broadcasting related work told me they watched this drama. I think this drama is loved not only by viewers of this drama but by broadcasting officials.

She added, “Fresh material and visual entertainment is strength for this drama. Great acting and rhythmic images also make this drama funnier and fresher.”

Regarding ‘Toast Kiss,’ she said, “We shot the scene in the morning. I couldn’t do well because I was half asleep. Then, director said to me if I haven’t dated anyone.”“When I saw the scene on TV, I felt it is little loud as well,” she added.

Park Shin-hye chose the scene, which In-ha met Dal-po while he was asleep in a press room, as the best scene. She said, “In-ha doesn’t know how to pull and push with a man. I liked the emotion Dal-po showed at the scene, too. I think they were adorable at the scene.”

Regarding difference between a reporter and an actress, she answered, “Reporters and actresses have in common in a sense that they often sleep out. In-ha didn’t change her clothes that often in the drama. I think it explains the characteristic of her job.”

Park Shin-hye is hugely popular in China. She said, “I really appreciate people who support and love me. I think I achieved this popularity thanks to the popularity of drama The Heirs.”
