Hi @mana I got excited when I saw Lee Pil-Mo's name as a cast member who confirmed.... He is fun to watch, a good actor n acts naturally and he is definitely pleasing on the eyes
The other senior actors we've seen in various kdramas, they are like "veterans" or " seniors " when in comes to acting.

I wish they will add more character descriptions so we know what their roles will be. A few days ago the writer-nim was supposedly finished to episode 6... I am sure by now the character development was done halfway through. Pinocchio eps has 20.

Behind the scene buzz rumors say that Lee Jong Seok, among a few other actors, has received the script for Blood. In all likelihood Lee Jong Seok will take Pinocchio for SBS but the delay in his confirming that drama could be due to last minute conundrums between playing a society pages reporter or a bloodthirsty vampire doctor. He’s already played a doctor before in Dr. Stranger

My Note: The above news is for KBS drama Blood vampire to be aired in early 2015.......the conjectures are bound to happen and rumours do get afloat with LJS still not having confirmed his participation in the drama Pinnochio.......there is a saying no smoke without a fire BUT I doubt very much that LJS will take consecutive doctor dramas........

LOL sis @ Maris, we were at the Koala at the same time? something crossed my mind..... I know it's just me dreaming... since Kim Woo Bin was thrown in the mix, is it possible for Park Shin Hye to be in Blood too? this is for early next year to follow Healer for Wed-Thurs KBS schedule. She has not played a medical drama before right?

Yes Eve! We not only live in the same time zone but our paths are one too...
Actually, I was thinking that maybe KWB will be in this drama instead of Shinhye being in the vampire Doctor basically because the two dramas are very close to one another. Pinnochio starts in Mid November and will end sometime I before Christmas. Whereas VD starts in Early 2015.

KWB is the only name that was connected with Pinnochio besides the offer to LJS that is still pending. Since Sidus , KWB's and Yubi's agency, is financing the project so I think that is more probable. Besides KWB has not acted in any drama since Heirs too. His and Shinhye's chemistry was amazing too...........AGAIN, these are just conjectures and speculations on my part arising from the simple fact of LJS having still not accepted his role in Pinnochio.

Btw, I did not know that you were a fan of KWB and Shinhye tandem too! I loved them in Heirs.....

Please let me make it clear that this in no way means that LJS and Shinhye's won't be as good or better even.

I am 90% confident that LJS is on board this drama and has already committed because of the following reasons:
1. There is no outright denial from his camp (instead saying that he will decide before the script reading - who puts a production in this quandary if ever and which insane production will allow this uncertainty?)
2. Silence on the part of the production and a reassurance thrown in of LJS being really the chosen one and KWB involvement was just a hearsay is a given of the former's involvement I should say.
3. It must be a play on Well-made's part (LJS agency) to stamp it in everyone's mind that their star was really the first choice ( to quell the first buzz about this drama's leads)
Now....after considering the company...let me analyze LJS side:
1. LJS wanted to work with our girl...he said so in their Jambangee interview as well as wishing that it will be a melodrama.
2. They are already comfortable with each other as shown by their cf bts which is a great advantage in acting together...
3. (and for my usual delulu for my love, PSH) he seems to like our girl.....veryrrryyyy much!

so I say cheers everyone for the oncoming drama of the year and keeping my finger crossed that this Choi In ha character will showcase the best of our girl and will wow both fans and critiques.... .

I agree with everything you say. There is just a fraction of doubt only because no announcement has been made as yet..........
Sidus once announced that KWB might be able to take the role as his schedule is being arranged. On the other hand the writer and the director find LJS to fit the role well. SBS was quick to deny that KWB was offered the role .......when actually the first I heard of 'Pinnochio ' was in relation to him refusing the offer. Sidus is the producer behind the drama so has a important say in the matter.....they already have offer for Yubi that she has not accepted as yet.
KWB also loved working with Shinhye. He did say that his friendship with her is the best thing that came with doing the drama Heirs.
KWB and LJS are close and best of friends too. If both want to do it then there is a problem!
They definitely want to handle things properly....

Do you see where I am coming from? Too confusing? Have I cooked up a storm out of nothing? But I put the blame on no announcement from LJS camp.........

@nistymaj that was a perfect analysis....you are right! If LJS would say no at this time, production won't have time to offer the role to another male lead....who would say yes to a short notice anyway for a lead role
So ok...still why is he taking too long to confirm???
The good news is......Shin Hye is having a drama and that is what's important....
I believe that this time the drama would revolve around her character! Fighting!!!

I "hated" Yongdo in Heirs, almost to the point of 'cussing' ehrm throwing something at my TV
that meant he was good n brought the character to life n beyond. I am hoping he will pick "Blood" the vampire doctor hmm ..may I say, would fit him for his unique characterization.... interesting take. In this regard, I wish Shin Hye will get a chance to be the leading lady to Woobin for Blood.

I know it's far fetch... it's just me dreaming. KWB has 2 movies this year: "Twenty" a trio of friends he plays the girl-crazed friend of the three. "The Professionals". Shin Hye will by then be finishing her kdrama "Pinocchio".

I'm all for Lee Jong Suk no matter what. I think this kdrama will bring their acting chops to the test which I am very much looking forward to.

nad sis @maris I love to see Kim Woo Bin pair up with Park Shin Hye in future projects, if not for a kdrama, a possible CF together... that will definitely be daebak!!

they had convincing interactions in The Heirs and more spunk on the part of Eunsang which I missed at some scenes with KimTan.
