2013 SBS Drama Awards edit 'Heirs' to make Kim Woo Bin and Lee Min Ho the main love line

The 2013 SBS Drama Awards featured a special segment in which they showed parodies of the hit dramas this year by editing the video clips and changing the story around. They did 'I Hear Your Voice' and created a 'cutie player' version of 'The Sun Of My Master.' However, the funniest one might have been their take on 'Heirs.'

Essentially taking Park Shin Hye out of the picture, they edited the drama's video to take Lee Min Ho and Kim Woo Bin's bromance to another level. Rather than fighting over the main female character, the two men appear to be in their own romantic relationship! Check out the video above to see the funny parody and the actors' amused reactions.

Kim Ji Won Dishes About Her Pre-Kiss Prep Session With 'The Heirs' Co-Star Kang Ha Neul



"The Heirs" stars Kim Ji Won and Kang Ha Neul may have gotten viewers' pulse rates pumping with their surprising romance, but the scene's success was apparently the result of meticulous planning by the two co-stars.
In an interview with the South Korean news outlet Newsen following the Dec. 12 series finale of "The Heirs," Kim explained the preparation that went into her makeout scenes with Kang, who played the best friend of Lee Min Ho's character Kim Tan.
"We started talking about the kiss scene, asking each other for tips and how to act out the scene," Kim said.
Kim and Kang previously had appeared together in a different Seoul Broadcasting System program, "To The Beautiful You," but the actress said it wasn't until their romantic storyline on "The Heirs" that they became close.
"That caused us to get closer to each other," she said.
"We are similar in that we don't easily get close to people. But we definitely got close towards the end of the drama."
Kim, who played the character of Rachael Woo on "The Heirs," said that filming the kissing scenes with Kang, who played Lee Hyo Shin, was awkward to say the least.
"I could feel the others staring at us," Kim said.
"Park Shin Hye [who plays the part of Cha Eun Sang] looked on with such a satisfied look, that it made me feel embarrassed. I tried to think of it as just work since I've shot a kissing scene before."
And although she believes the plotline for why she and Kang first kissed--a ploy to make Lee Min Ho's character jealous, is a bit far-fetched, Kim claims she likes the way their romance developed on the show.
"The storyline was a bit random, but I think for young people, it's possible for feelings to develop after physical contact," she said.
"Many people didn't like how the relationship between Rachel and Lee Hyo Shin was open-ended, but personally I liked how it ended."

Actor Lee Min-ho is best known for his lead role in the 2009 KBS drama "Boys over Flowers", playing an obnoxious, rich high school student.

Instead of trying to change his image, Lee took a very similar role in SBS's recently finished "The Heirs", again playing a young, rich jerk, but giving the new character a very different feel.

Lee recently sat down with Ilgan Sports, an affiliate with the Korea JoongAng Daily, to share how he felt about the drama.

Q.How do you feel about the drama now that it has ended?

A.I was stressed too much but very happy throughout the filming. I'm delighted that no major accidents happened. It may sound tacky, but I felt that things could have not been better.

Q.What was it like working with other young stars?

A.I thought I probably couldn't play any role that requires me to wear a school uniform any more. Everyone, including Park Sin-hye and Kim Woo-bin, did so well. I also felt sorry for them and was surprised that they were so busy with other work [advertisements and other promotions] while filming the drama. At least I was free before I did "Boys over Flowers", but they seem to have very busy lives for people so young.

Q.How did you like working with Park Sin-hye?

A.Although she is young, she has built a long career in acting. I was originally bad about talking honestly with my counterparts when acting. I usually act as I feel like doing, and I was so thankful that Park's character was so well received. She is the first woman I've acted with who is younger than I am.

Q.Did you have any secret for differentiating your character from the one you had in "Boys"?

A.I thought I wouldn't care much about "Boys" from the beginning. Back then, I thought that I needed to hold a pair of chopsticks a certain way because I was the son of a rich family or I needed to look down on people. But this time I decided just to be natural. It is true that I was worried because the two characters have many similarities, but then I started to build a character that is more realistic.

Q.Why did you take such a similar role?

A.Many have asked me that question. I thought I would never be able to look like that again. When between 26 and 27, you can show a boyish or man-like character. I thought it might be better for me to appeal that younger side while I still have it.

Q.Why did you choose "Gangnam Blues" as your next work?

A.I want people to see that I can play very different characters. Before, I tried to avoid doing movies as they are riskier and I was not sure if I could do it well. But I wanted to play a more manly character and director Yoo Ha makes actors stand out in his works.

but I wonder why didn't Kim Wo Bin get New Star Award, I like Kang Min Hyuk but I guess KWB deserves the award more than he does....

@glennieluvshinhye: KWB got one award as part of Top 10 STARS together with all the other big named actors/actress...

he was the SEcond lead, so he doesn't need to be part of the New Star awards...though he really deserved to have more than one award....he did justice to YongDo and i just wish he was given a special award for a second lead at that... i know this guy will go a long ways...and we'll see the time when he goes head to head with other great actors....he's got one up with LMH since he has a Movie out that was also a top grosser film...even his friend LeeJongSuk should have gotten more than one award, he was great in IHYV...

that's why I was fuming mad back in 2009 at SBS for putting PSH in their New Star awards category when she was the Main Female lead in You're Beautiful and to put her in the same category with YH and LeeMinJung...it was so unfair, SH should have been placed with the Top 10 Stars too since she was the female lead and has been in the business for quite some time...

oh wells, what's done is done...so now they have to make up for it Finally giving her a well deserving Best Actress Award...and i still want the BEST TOP EXCELLENCE for next year...keep my fingers crossed...
