Park Shin Hye to make a cameo in upcoming drama ‘King of Dramas’




Actress Park Shin Hye will be making a cameo appearance in SBS‘s new drama, ‘King of Dramas‘.

She will be playing the role of a lead actress in the fictional drama being produced by a character called ‘Anthony Kim’ to help add a touch of reality to the depiction of film sets in the drama. Her decision to make this cameo dates back to her relationship with PD Hong Sung Chan, whom she last worked with for her 2009 drama, ‘You’re Beautiful‘.

Despite her busy schedule, she made sure to travel a long way to the filming set as an expression of her friendship.

The drama, which tells the blossoming love story between a drama producer, a rookie script writer, and a top Hallyu star, will begin airing on November 5th.

Viewers tuning into SBS’ upcoming The King of Dramas will be able to catch sight of Park Shin Hye making a cameo appearance for the show.

The actress was confirmed to have filmed a cameo appearance for the drama recently. In it, she plays the leading actress who stars in the drama, ‘Spectacular Revenge’, which is being produced by Anthony Kim (Kim Myung Min).

Her cameo role was made possible for her close friendship with The King of Drama’s director, Hong Sung Chang, who previously directed Park Shin Hye’s You’re Beautiful back in 2009.

Despite her busy schedule, at the director’s request, Park Shin Hye came to the filming set in Gangwon-do’s Samcheok to film her cameo appearance.



The King of Drama stars Kim Myung Min as Anthony Kim, a callused top production agency CEO who only lives for wealth and fame, a warm and honest rookie writer, Lee Go Eun (Jung Ryeo Won) and a narcissistic hallyu star, Kang Hyun Min (Choi Siwon), who come together in a humorous way.

The comedy drama premiere on November 5 after the conclusion of Faith.

On October 26, Park’s agency reported that Park will make a cameo appearance in the series as a lead actress of Graceful Revenge, a drama series produced by Anthony Kim (played by Kim Myung Min).

Park will appear in the first episode of the series.

Park has decided to appear in the series as a cameo because she was close to Hong Sung Chang, a producer of the series. She played a lead role in the drama series You’re Beautiful, directed by Hong, in 2009.

The King of Dramas is a comedy series about Anthony Kim, a greedy CEO of a production company, Lee Go Eun (played by Jung Ryeo Won), a warm-hearted, honest writer, and Kang Hyun Min (played by Super Junior’s Siwon), a self-confident top celebrity, and the making of dramas.

Park Shin-hye to Keep Her Faith with “Heartstrings” Producer




Korean actress Park Shin-hye is making a cameo appearance on the "Heartstrings” producer’s upcoming TV series.

Park will spice up the first episode of SBS' new series, “The Lord of the Dramas” [tentative title], slated to premiere on November 5 at 10 p.m. KST, according to promoter The J Story’s press release Friday.

The firm explained that the starlet had decided to take the cameo role due to her friendship with Hong who was also in charge of her hit starrer “He’s Beautiful” (SBS, 2009).

Park is set to depict the heroin of the drama-within-the-drama “Elegant Revenge,” produced by an ambivalent TV producer named Anthony Kim [played by Kim Myung-min].

Starring Jeong Ryo-won and Super Junior’s Si-won, the comic drama centers around Kim, an honest rookie scriptwriter Lee Go-eun [played by Jeong] and an arrogant top Hallyu star Kang Hyun-min [played by Si-won].

Meanwhile, the actress will serve as a prize-giver at the 49th Daejong Film Awards, which will be held at the KBS Hall in Seoul, Korea on October 30 at 7 p.m. in local time.

"The King of Dramas" characters unveiled in new trailer




With the premiere broadcast of "The King of Dramas" just around the corner, the trailer of
the highly anticipated SBS TV series has been unveiled.

The preview features the three main characters - Anthony Kim (portrayed by Kim Myeong-min), a ratings-obsessed drama producer who is willing to risk people's lives for his dramas; Lee Go Eun (portrayed by Jeong Ryeo-won), a rookie assistant scriptwriter who views life as more important than dramas; and arrogant top star Kang Hyun Min (portrayed by Choi Si-won) who is seen holding a toy gun.

In addition, a cameo by Park Sin-hye as an actress in Anthony Kim's drama production was shown. The particular scene was filmed in Samcheok, Gangwon Province and will be viewed in Episode 1. Park made the special appearance to show her loyalty to "The King of Dramas" director, Hong Seong-chang .

Hong also helmed 2009 TV series "You're Beautiful" , which starred Park. " The King of Dramas" will start airing on 5 November at 9:55 p.m.
