@Marrsq: I CONCUR with everything you said...thank you for the whole series recap...and yes, I can tell you really Love HeartStrings, I do too!!!

I really thought they were going to give us a sad ending, but lo and behold, PDPyo finally Delivered...again....
As I was reading on soompi, it was mentioned that there were several things on the script like going bowling and having them wear coupleshirts and a date in one of the hotel...too bad it was cut to 15 episodes...
I am looking forward to the DVD and I hope it will include the DELETED scenes and MORE wonderful and sweet moments of our Doolee couple.

What can I say, what moved me the most about this series I believe was when Shin broke up with KyuWon, he just knew with KW's character that if she had known he would need surgery she definitely would not have thought of herself and gone to England to pursue her dreams, she would have sacrificed her future to care for him and to be by his side.

I was honestly moved by the fact that Shin has proven again what a great boyfriend he is to KW. He truly loved KW with all his heart, it pains me that he had to struggle to start playing the guitar again...he gave KW her future while putting his on hold, he needs to be applauded for doing that! I hope my dtr's boyfriend is exactly like him. I'm getting too emotional just thinking about it....

There's just soooooooooooooooo many heartwarming scenes for each episodes, to name a few:
~their 'silent' communication with their palms held out letting the raindrops fall thru their palms, we see KW mimicking what Shin was doing, we see Shin deep in thoughts after realizing he has to let go of the dance professor
~the fact that Shin knew that KW was afraid of the dark, he found this out when the lights went out when they were told to clean up the costume area. I can clearly remember their faces in close proximity and when the light came back on, it was Shin who had to pull back, i believe he heard a thump in his heart for being that close to KW!
~I love how their outfit almost always match or complement each other, it showed us how their lives are starting to get intertwined
~I also cried when KW had to be the 'ghost' singer for HJ, it was a telltale sign of how unselfish she is, and Shin urgently rushing to her side even before the song ended, to give his support and to let her know that she will always be the Leading Lady in his life
~I laughed when they had shown their jealous side, KW and Shin were perfect here, typical boy/girl interactions at catharsis, KW drinking and flirting and Shin getting his pics taken by those girls
~How can we forget...the MT wish Shin had made: I wish for you to like me again and the way he held her hand
~When he sang that first song: Because I miss you at catharsis and how the camera focused on KW, this was a beautiful picture of a girl whose heart just got stirred with a beautiful song by a handsome guy...Even I was moved...it made me remember my college days when this cute guy played the guitar and sang one of the Bread song...(it's an old song) i think that's why I just love the acoustics...
~When KW sang that song I will forget you, that gave me goosebumps, she sang that song with true feelings...she could have given the CNBlue a run for their money...she gave a heartfelt rendition of forgetting her first love...and I know those of us who have fallen in love have also gone thru this heartwrenching feeling...you have to move on and learn to forget this guy and the memories you've shared...
~and I'm wowed by the beautiful and heartwarming MUSIC, I love your OST...your music alone tells a great story...

Heartstrings, i will surely Miss you...You gave me back my youth, you made me reminisce those wonderful moments i shared with my close friends at school, you took away the stress i had from work...i just love the middle of the week (usually I love Fridays)...you're one beautiful series that i will always remember...i will definitely buy the DVD!

I wish you success when you premiere in Japan and the other Asian countries, my heartfelt wish that we'd get to see PSH and JYH join hands again to go to those countries to promote and probably get ShinHye to be a guest of CNBlue...

OMG OMG OMG! SQUEEAAL! So I haven't finished watching HS yet with Eng subs but I watched the last chapter in raw, and even though I didn't know what they were saying, I cried too especially on the 2 occasions when Lee Shin cried. Yong Hwa really executed both these scenes well! So much emotion in them and even one eye crying! Yong Hwa, his acting has improved so much with just 2 series....thanks to Shin Hye of course!

Thanks mazz for your insight and thorough summary of this series. Your analysis is really deep. I think though that Korean viewers aren't as profound as us international viewers (esp the ajummas) so that is why the series is not that well accepted in Korea. But hey, whatever, Shin Hye is a HALLYU star!

HS had a very simple but sweet love plot. Yong Hwa is such a wonderful man and bf at the end. When he loves someone, he will never change!!

I really hope this series gets some award - BEST COUPLE since Shin Hye was unable to get it with JGS.

I'll spazz some more after I officially finish this series.

Shin Hye - 2 guys said Sarangheyo to her - JGS in YAB and now YH in HS.
