The last part of episode 13 was awesome. Made me sad when I saw HJ singing with KW's voice and KY, wow he is so amazing! Too bad his character never developed into anything and was only visible in bits and pieces until now. What a total waste, they should have made KY as second lead and introduced a love triangle somehow with him because he is a total package,handsome, body, voice and can act too. I was hoping too that this maybe the part we were all waiting for to see shin hye show us her excellent dancing skill but to my disappointment it was never shown but somehow I was appease with the heartwarming song she sang . How great is that song, with KY in the beginning and Shin as the back up vocals. Hope they make this part of the OST since its just mega awesome. I read last night that some said KY could have been a good lead after this compared to the stiff acting of Yong Hwa but the cuteness of Yonghwa can't be measured coz somehow he grows on you. I would melt everytime he stares at GW. I just love him. I was just thinking that they should have allowed KY's character to grow in the beginning and should have deleted many of the camera time given to the dance instructor, what a waste.

Love the episode even if I was saddened by the non appearance of GW as the lead but made me happy hearing the ending song which was sung perfectly by Shin Hye.

I second you kristen when it comes to Ki Young. I already said in my previous post how he is a wasted character because his character had so much potential to develop into the second lead. He is handsome, good singer, and a good actor. And what the heck? How come Hee Joo gets to kiss him?!! Suk Hyun and Professor Jung could have had their own story rather than Shin liking her in the beginning. Jun Su and Hui Joo too can have their own story. At the same time, because they have so many characters in this show, it may be hard to fully develop each of them but I'm sure if that was their intent in the beginning, it somehow would have worked out. I really think it was a waste of time to focus on Shin forgetting the professor for 6 chapters. All the things that have happened now sshould have happened 5 chapters ago. All in all, I think a lot of the characters were "wasted" and underdeveloped, which of course is the scriptwriter's fault. Despite, I still support the series and still enjoy watching it. But if I were the writer, things would definitely be different.....

I definitely see a HUGE improvement in Yong Hwa's acting from YAB. True, at times, he is still stiff with his emotions, but it's hard for him because this is only his second series. However, with time, he definitely will blossom into a better actor. Also, working with an expert actress like Shin Hye twice in a row will definitely help him a lot!

HOWEVER, the OST of this series ROCKS! I love all the songs, and hopefully they will have it all on the OST. Also, I do appreciate the coherence of things too. For example, this week they linked the photos Shin unknowingly took of Gyu Won in the beginning to illustrate their fate. Also, the necklace that he gave to Professor Jung, that was brought up again this week. So I appreciate the consideration of details in this drama.

Can't believe though that HS is over next week! I wonder what they are going to focus on now that the Centennial performance is over....

As I watched the last scene in Ep 13 i was also surprised that KW became the ghost singer but then I thought, well, she is the 'understudy' of the musical. To me it showed how unselfish she is. And that was her true character, she had always been the kind to care about other people, never thinking about herself, always the one to protect others.
But slowly, when she had that conversation with the dance teacher she had somehow triggered something in her mind by asking her what is it that she really want to be/do rather than what her gramps want her to be. Her sole excuse is that ever since she was small she had always played the gagayeum because she grew up with her gramps who is a traditional musician whereas her dad is the opposite. We can see it even in the way she dresses, she dress very conservatively, you'll never see her wearing short sleeves or shorts, that's her, that's her upbringing.

I give her credit for being such a wonderful dtr/grandtr/friend/student, she takes care of her gramps by cooking for him, cleaning for him, ironing his clothes, she was doing the things her mom should have done and out of respect for the man who raised her she was just giving something back in return. She is a GREAT girl, even though she grew up without both of her parents she turned out really really good. If i had a daughter like her, i'd be so PROUD of her.

At this point of her life I'm sure she's starting to REALIZE what her DREAMS are, which I know we'll find out in the next ep. Also, doesn't she have that traditional recital she needed to do also? i wonder if that will still transpire?
and i just remembered, weren't we supposed to see her do the last ACT? where she'll sing that duet with KY? I got a feeling that HJ will somehow give the stage to her to redeem both of them, this way EVERYBODY wins!

I don't know how many times I played and replayed the last part, i feel KW's emotions, she sang that song really really well and finally we get to hear ShinKWKY trio!!! I so wish there will be another OST!!! that song was on the last OST but sang by MSignal titled I don't know....

i soo love your POV's and it was just so heartwarming to read all of these especially now that HS is nearing its end (cant believe it will be next week)

as much as we all dont want to, everything must go that's the reality..

let's just savour the 2 episodes remaining and be entertained all over again by rewatching our beloved drama

and playing their OSTs every now and then.

HS though lacking in some other aspects (as all dramas do), had touched everyone's heart. That fact i believe is the BEST offering they have given their audiences.
