Correct me if I'm wrong but a dear friend, JXue said that George Hu was never shy with others before in TV shows, etc. He is smiling more with Hayate and shy around Shin Hye. ehem This is the first time I come across this hottie, but I think it's time to check him out further.

not much news about Hayate, is it because they have not start filming with Shin Hye yet? read from one of the blogs that other Hayate casts have been filming scenes already (maybe those scenes that does not require SH to be in them).

I really miss seeing Shin Hye and can't wait to see her in the drama. I was kinda disappointed to see the media coverage about the other Taiwan Korean anime collaboration but there was no mention of Hayate. How come there's no Korean media coverage?

Maybe now, they are shooting Hayate's part of the drama before he joined Nagi's household. I also hope she can start filming soon so she can wrap up and go back to Korea....When she is there, I suppose our news feed will come from the Taiwan fans. and her twitter....and hopefully the Taiwan media. Hopefully she will learn some kung Fu tips from George Hu (I think he is cute and he is obviously very self conscious with her around cos his friends like to tease him...bout her....Maybe he told them she 's cute....I like anyone who likes her).

In the show, i hope to see her doing some fighting scene....that' will be awesome....Michelle Yeoh...(Malaysian HOng Kong actress) was a ballet dancer before and could pick up Kung Fu easily due to her background as a dancer...I won't mind seeing Shin Hye picking up these skills...

I am eagerly awaiting news about Hayate. They were suppose to start filming on Oct 10th.

Park Shin Hye, George Hu, Tia Li present "Hayate" at Television Festival in Taiwan.

GTV showcased their upcoming idol drama, “Hayate the Combat Butler” (adaptation of the popular manga), at the Television Festival. The main cast: Korean actress Park Shin Hye, the four member boy group Wu Hoo (formerly known as Wu-Hu-Jiang), and Otaku Goddess Tia Li were all there for the showcase. In regards to netizens criticizing that Park Shin Hye is too old for the role and Tia’s chest is too big to be a maid, GTV especially invited the original creator to support the cast; Park Shin Hye and Tia also emphasized that the script has been modified to better suit their characters.

The production team didn’t waste anytime as they brought Park Shin Hye to test out her new drama character’s image styles right after the press conference. As reported earlier, the drama will begin its filming in October. Park Shin Hye expressed that it’ll take her a while to get used to the living styles of Taiwan, but she’s very happy to be filming with the handsome George Hu and beautiful Tia Li. She further commented that it almost feels like she’s filming the sequel of “You Are Beautiful”, especially when she’s surrounded by "all the good looking guys of Wu Hoo."

Live-Action Comedy by Kenjirou Hata titled Hayate, the Combat Butler

GalaTV, Taiwanese production and broadcasting company recently announced of it's new live-action television adaptation of Kenjirou Hata’s Hayate the Combat Butler comedy manga. The story follows a boy named Hayate who serves as a butler, bodyguard, confidante, and more to a girl named Nagi to pay off a 156,804,000-yen (about US$1.8-million) debt. The 20-year-old Korean actress Park Shin Hye will play Nagi, while 28-year-old George Hu will play Hayate and Otaku Goddess Tia Li will play Maria. the four member boy group Wu Hoo (formerly known as Wu-Hu-Jiang) will also participate.

Last month, it was announced that Viz Media will publish the 16th manga volume in North America. Two television anime series in Japan was made, and Bandai Entertainment had announced at Anime Expo 2008 that it licensed the first anime series for North America. Crunchyroll simulcasted the second anime series in several countries as it aired Japan in last year.

Other mangas that have inspired live-action television series in Taiwan include Skip Beat !, Itazura na Kiss (It Started With a Kiss), and Hana Yori Dango (Meteor Garden).

Haha i'm supposed to be studying but well, just taking a breather as usual haha. Yeah i really hope that SHin Hye will make i big in TW, with her drama Hayate! Any idea which broadcaster is the main channel for airing, like GTV or SETTV?

I saw this mag on shelves but wow, shipped mags sure cost quite a bit. Nearing 10 bucks just for one issue.
Oh and i managed to buy the previous PLAY magazine with the 4 main YB casts in it! at 1/2 e price..LOL! The contents are awesome, almost 1/2 of the mag is abt YB. hahaha... it's really amazing how YB is still a popular drama despite its air last yr

also can u capture the mag photos to post when u r free? like u said, it truly is - mags are expensive getting an old mag with pix of ANJELLs cost me $25 US.* I need to take pix and post to make the cost worthwhile *. 2 pages were separated already and still cost $25. I've been had !!!

I think it is GTV but will re-check.
