I’m a sucker for skincare that smells good, and there aren’t many things that smell more divine than Mamonde’s Floral Hydro Cream. I use this as a basic moisturizer every morning right after I apply serum, emulsion and eye cream. This cream boasts a lightweight, gel-like texture that feels cool to the touch. It isn’t sticky or greasy either. The fine texture is very similar to that of the Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream. I never imagined that I’d love applying ANY moisturizer as much as I love applying the Laneige classic, but I’m actually saying it: I really look forward to putting the Floral Hydro Cream on! My happy complexion just soaks it right up. It doesn’t leave any residue behind. Once I apply the moisturizer and wait a minute or so, my skin is good to go and ready for the sunscreen and makeup products I’m about the layer onto it.
Now back to the scent! I can’t fully describe it, but it’s beyond light and refreshing. It is indeed floral. It has a hint of “fresh Hawaiian bouquet” goodness to how it smells, but I could indeed be imagining that. The formula contains 61 percent Narcissus extract which provides intense hydration.
Not only is this cream highly revitalizing, refreshing and moisturizing, but it also comes in a cute and simplistic container. The jar is small and unassuming with a standard white top and lovely pale blue body that’s reminiscent of the springtime sky. OK, that was getting a little weird there. What can I say? I get carried away when I think about Mamonde Floral Hydro Cream. I give this moisturizer an A+++. After some less than stellar recent experiences with a couple prominent facial moisturizers, the sheer delight of this cream was unexpected in the best possible way.
