Actors That Made The Top Hallyu Stars List

Who are the hottest Korean stars outside of Korea? The newspaper Korean Herald has come up with a list of the top ten. The winners include singers, sports figures but it's mostly made up of actresses and actors. Here are some of the kdrama stars that made the grade as Hallyu or Korean Wave stars.

Winning first place among female Hallyu stars is missA singer Suzy Bae.

The most popular actor on the list is 26-year-old Kim Soo Hyun, the star of the record-breaking film "Secretly, Greatly." Kim Soo Hyun played a talented high school student in "Dream High" but became wildly popular after playing Joseon-era king in the historical drama, "The Moon Embracing the Sun."
The paper named actor Lee Jin Wook as the second most popular male Hallyu star. The handsome model-turned-actor attracted attention in the drama "Air City" and then the successful tvN series "I Need Romance." Lee Jin Wook recently won praise for his portrayal as a time-traveling news anchorman in "Nine: Nine Time Travels.
Third on the list is Lee Soo Hyuk, whose distinctive look makes him a much sought after model. He has appeared in films before, but now has his first drama role on "Shark" as a prosecutor's office investigator.
Fourth is Lee Ji Hoon, who appeared in the film "Architecture 101" and the comedy drama "My Paparotti."
Last but not least is Song Joong Ki, who debuted in the film "A Frozen Flower," which also starred Jo in Sung. He starred in "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" and "Innocent Guy." He was also the star of "A Werewolf Boy," a fantasy romance film.

sorry sis nzida, i've got this in kdrama site, I saw shin hye on the list so I posted... so sorry, but it says " a korean newspaper Herald made the list"...since some of the actors on the list are not internationally recognized so maybe this is just within Korea...

Yeah this list is certainly inaccurate....I even saw an absurd video where the source said a newspaper made a poll of the top 10 most ugly Asian actors and Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye were on it. I was thinking...yup...I would love to see which newspaper had this because it would close down within the hour if Min Ho fans or Shin Hye fans from China got a hold of it....I think the maker of the video him or herself did the poll....lol....so don't believe all these polls...some of them are just personal opinions but the creator uses the excuse of a newspaper to make it seem reliable.

it's ok to have ur own personal opinion, but it's despicable to voice it out publicly in the social media to hurt them, some more faking 'evidence'

Out of curiosity, do the stars get invited to the vip screening or do they sign up? I was surprised to see Kim Ji Won at the screening of Lee Jong Suk's new movie but how come Shin Hye was not invited? At the least, she did a commercial shoot with Jong Suk...and I was even more surprised that Woo Bin was not there since he and Jong Suk are so close....
