Chapter 12: Confessions


They went home together; they’re sitting close to each other inside his car. His one hand is on the steering wheel while the other one is holding her hand.

She can’t still believe of what’s happening between them.
She kept on staring at geun Suk

“why?” Geun Suk asked when he noticed that she’s looking at him

“I just feel like it’s a dream“shin Hye said

“a week ago we’re so distant to each other like the Sun and the Moon” she added

“Eclipse happens you know” Geun suk said

Shin Hye smiled sweetly

“I really thought that you hate me” she smilingly asked Geun Suk.

She’s so happy; she never thought that they will be like that.

“What?” he glanced and asked her

“You’re always cold to me” she explained

“I can’t help it; I never thought someone will wake up these feelings that are buried deeply inside my heart, I’m not used to these feelings so I acted cold towards you, thinking that I can control it, but in the end these feelings grow more than I expected.” He said.

“The more I hide my feelings for you, the more I fall for you” he added

It’s like her heart’s melting, because of what he just said.

“Geun suk” she whispered

“What? Geun Suk?” he asked

“Why?” she asked

“It should be Geun suk-oppa” he smiled

“oh, Geun suk-oppa” she repeated while smiling.

“I love you” she added

Geun Suk smiled and “I know” he said

“Hi” uee greeted

“Hi Uee-unni” Shin Hye greeted back

“I see that you’re now happy with him” Uee commented

“Yeah! At last... I never thought this would happen” Shin Hye smiled

“I once heard that a heart covered with ice doesn’t need someone who has flame throwers to melt the ice away, but someone who patiently waits until the ice melts by itself. And that’s what you just did, you didn’t give up on him” Uee said

“I’m planning to do so, but every time I’m trying to give him up, my heart aches that I don’t know what to do” Shin Hye said

Shin Hye is now going home. She’s alone because Geun Suk has some other school stuffs to do. She’s kind of disappointed but she has no choice.

She was startled when her mobile phone rings.

“Onee-chan?” she answered the call

“Okay. I’m on my way, wait for me” shin Hye said

Ha Mi is in their house. And she wants to talk to Shin Hye. Shin Hye’s very excited to see her sister.

She quickly went out of the car and go directly to the guest room where her sister is waiting for her.

“onee-chan” she excitedly called while giving her a hug

“I missed you” she said

“I missed you too” Ha mi smilingly said

“Shin Hye, there’s something I want to tell you” Ha mi seriously said

“What is it? You look serious. Did something happen?” Shin Hye worriedly asked

“Shin Hye gomen nasai, Honto ni Gomen nasai” Ha mi apologized

“What is it? Tell me already, I’m worried”

“I broke up with Jun, I don’t know why, but I feel like I don’t love him anymore. I know that you’re here because you want to protect our relationship but it’s just that…”

Before Ha Mi finish what she’s talking, Shin Hye hugged her.

“I feel like I’d waste what you did for us, I’m really sorry’ Ha Mi said

Shin Hye smiled and “Sis, remember what I told you before I left Japan?” Shin Hye asked

“I told you that you have to be happy no matter what happens right? So I don’t care what’s the reason of your break up as long as you’re happy” she added

“Thanks sis” Ha Mi said between crying

Geun Suk is already home he’s looking for Shin Hye

“Where’s Shin Hye?” he smilingly asked Noriko

“Agashii is with her sister in the guest room, young Master” Noriko said

He decided to go to the guest room to see Shin hye, and to acquaint with her sister. He’s going to open the door when

“Now that you don’t have to protect our relationship. You can now cancel your engagement with Geun Suk if you want” Ha Mi said

“I’ll cancel the engagement” Shin Hye said

He left and He irritatingly went to his room. He was hurt of what Shin Hye just said and he doesn’t want to hear for more, or else the pain will only increased

“damn it” he cursed, he balled his fist because of anger, it’s like he’ll going to punched whoever comes on his way.

“I thought we’re already okay” he angrily thought

As soon as Ha Mi left their house, Shin hye went to Geun suk’s room.

“what are you doing here?” Geun Suk coldly said

“I just want to welcome you home, I’m talking with my sister a while ago, so..”

“You don’t need to do that, just go out of my room” Geun suk said

“what’s wrong with you? You’re so moody” Shin Hye irritatingly said

“If I knew you’re going to be like this again, maybe it would be better if I told my sister to cancel our engagement” she’s going out of his room when Geun Suk holds her arm.

“wait! What do you mean by that? You mean you’re not going to cancel it?” Geun suk asked

“ofcourse not! Now that our feelings is mutual” Shin Hye said

“wait, is it really mutual?” Shin Hye asked

Geun Suk didn’t replied,

He just kissed her.

Shin Hye was surprised.

“this is our first kiss” Shin Hye shyly said

Geun Suk smiled and “This is our second” he said

“eh? What do you mean?” Shin Hye curiously asked

“You don’t need to count it anymore” Geun suk said

And he kissed her again.

They went to school together. Everyone is looking at them, gasping.

Everyone is used to them for going to school together, but today is different. They went out of the car smiling while holding hands. Others are looking at them with jealousy, who would not be?

They’re a perfect match.

“What is it? You look serious, I’m not used to it” she teased

Hong ki just smiled

“I’m here to say goodbye” he said

“Why? What?” she’s curious

“I’m going to America, to finished my studies there” he explained

“Why there?” she asked

“That’s so sad” she added

“why? Are you going to missed me?” Hongki teased

“Of course, you’re my friend” she admitted

“Yes, just friend” he repeated

“Hey, I have something to tell you.” He became serious

“What is it?”

“Do you know that I’m supposed to be your fiancé’? He confessed

She was shocked

“If you didn’t take the responsibility that time, we’re supposed to be together” he sadly said

“I didn’t know” she said while looking at him.

“It’s okay, I guess its fate that we didn’t end up together” he smilingly said

“and its fate that Geun Suk became your fiancé instead of me” he added

“I’m sorry” she was feeling guilty

“don’t be sorry, at least there are moments in my life that I’ll always remember, not because they’re important but because you were there.” Hong ki smilingly said

Shin Hye remained silent.
Tears just fell down on her cheeks.

Hong ki wiped her tears with his hands.

“hey, you have to promise me that if there’s next life, you’ll become selfish, so you’re not going to take others’ responsibilities” he joked

“Pabo” She hugged him while crying

Hongki hugged him back, and secretly wipe his tears.
