[HanCinema's News] Park Shin-hye Revealed to Have Not Used Stunt Double for "#ALIVE"
On June 3rd the SBS Entertainment News program 'Access Showbiz Tonight' aired an interview with "#ALIVE" co-stars Yoo Ah-in and Park Shin-hye. Though the movie will not come out for three weeks, Lotte Entertainment is making an aggressive marketing push, hoping the zombie flick will act as a capstone for the local film market's recovery this month.
For the most part the "#ALIVE" interview tread the same ground as the previous press conference, going over the desire on the part of Yoo Ah-in and Park Shin-hye to work in a new genre as well as with each other. This made comments to the effects of Park Shin-hye not using a stunt double particularly surprising, as she has not appeared in an action-oriented scripted project prior.
According to Park Shin-hye she did her own stunts involving wires, axe-wielding, as well as ice pick wielding. She did not appear to find the line of questioning that remarkable. However, Yoo Ah-in was lavish with praise as the subject came up, praising her consumnate skill, having only attended a single month of action school prior to filming. He compared her work to Uma Thurman of the 'Kill Bill' movies, embarrassing Park Shin-hye greatly as she smiled nervously.
