[Rough Trans - Park Shin Hye's Interview]

When asked of Park Shin Hye's ideal type, she immediately said "Father" - "(My) father is loyal towards the family, very gentle & considerate, and will exercise (with me) too. However before I get to meet someone like my father, I feel that it will be even better if I become a person who loves aeygo and is very cute just like my mother"

Chinese trans cr. TRIPLEEDOUBLELU :-

Park Shin Hye "I Lost To Lee Jong Suk's Aegyo and Eyelashes

[Interview] Park Shin Hye Who Finished 'Pinocchio'…"If I Really Was A Reporter? Interested In Shantytown Stories"

SBS "Pinocchio" is Actress Park Shin Hye's drama where she could report the growth of her career and her life. This is because she had met Jo Soo Won PD before through his first directed theatrical work "Tree of Heaven". Ten years from today, Park Shin Hye was scolded all the time by Lee Jang Soo PD who was the main director of "Tree of Heaven", her debut drama.

Whenever she got scolded, Jo Soo Won PD would come to her and tried to comfort her.
Lee Jang Soo PD really cared for her, so he scolded her so she can improve on her acting. However, since she was still a child, she got a lot of emotional wounds and the one who always comforted her was Jo Soo Won PD.

image_2015-02-01.jpg

So, <Pinocchio> to Park Shin Hye was an opportunity to show Jo Soo Won PD the true appearance of Park Shin Hye rather than the inexperienced 17 year old Park Shin Hye. Park Shin Hye's opportunity to show her true image was helped with Park Hye Ryun writer's ability to create the real world of a reporter's life.

Park Shin Hye said, "Throughout filming the drama, I was happy. It was really fun filming. I still can't believe that the drama ended. If I just look into space, I feel that the filming set would be right in front of my eyes." She said while laughing, "During the time, I filmed Tears of Heaven, Jo Soo Won PD called me 'Strawberry Princess', but now he says 'Now, You Have Grown Up' while also telling me, 'Our Strawberry Princess Is Pretty'."

image_2015-02-01-2.jpg

"The Collaboration Between Her and Lee Jong Suk? This Is The First Time I Lost To A Male Actor Through Aegyo"

"It was also because of Dalpo, but they were problems affecting my mom's (portrayed by Jin Kyung) family. Therefore, I decided to become understanding. Also, Inha won't hiccup anymore if the truth is found quickly for the one I love. In reality, it won't be that easy. Since, lives are at stake. However <Pinocchio> is a drama, so it's okay! (Laughter)"

In <Pinocchio>, Choi Inha even gives up on being a reporter, an occupation that she has always wanted to do since she was young, to find the truth related to Choi Dalpo/Ki Hamyeong (portrayed by Lee Jong Suk). Also, there were other problems that led to a lot of crying.

Park Shin Hye said, "I have good vision and I see the world more clearly, so I didn't know, but after a while I found that I got dry eye syndrome." and "However, except for times when my tears dried up since it was so cold, due to the help of the atmosphere in the filming set, it wasn't hard for tears to fall."

It was all thanks to the family in the drama script that made it seem that Choi family was her real family. She said, "Dad (portrayed by Shin Jung Keun) and Grandfather (portrayed by Byun Hee Bong) treated me as their real daughter and real granddaughter. I was told by many peope that Mom who is too young to be my real mom looked like me." and "In particular, even if I don't have to act the sentimental feeling of losing my mother, the feeling is a feeling I have buried in my body."

image_2015-02-01-3.jpg

"Meanwhile, Jong Sukkie and Jo Soo Won PD were really close to each other. Jong Sukkie filmed <I Hear Your Voice> with him so they harmonized really well. I also met him when I was young, so I would also cling or follow PD-nim all the time. I would call him 'PD-nim' 'PD-nim' and look for him. However, Ha…It is the first time I lost to a male actor. Even losing to aegyo, losing to eyelashes is the first. It is also the first time for me to call a male actor 'pretty'. (Laughter)."

In particular, Park Shin Hye was happy to portray the character of Choi Inha of <Pinocchio> even while crying tears throughout the drama, because she was able to calm down and figure out situations by being able to speak what’s on her mind as well as other comments she wants to say. She said, “People think that I can only portray characters who act happy in front of others and hide their pain in the inside.” and “It was refreshing for me to act the scene in episode 10 in <Pinocchio> where I as Choi Inha was able to say what was Dalpo said to her about people with Pinocchio syndrome to her mom.”

image_2015-02-01-4.jpg

At the end of <Pinocchio>, Park Shin Hye wore a wedding dress. To see that Choi Inha married at such an early age was similar to Park Shin Hye’s dream. She revealed, “Recently, I met with some of my friends, but one of them said that will go on a blind date.” and “I always wanted to marry quickly at the age of 25 like my mom, so I can happily live like my parents are living right now. However, as I get more projects to do, I want to see and feel more in life and due to that, my thought of marriage becomes more distant.”

She added, “If I think as human Park Shin Hye and not as actress Park Shin Hye, then my first dream that comes up to mind is ‘family’. When I am in my 30s, I will be really be thinking of marriage.” and “I have always wanted to marry a man who is like my dad, but nowadays I believe that a woman like my mom makes a man like my dad. A man becomes what a woman wishes him to become.”

She said, “My mom is the one who supports such a fine man. Therefore, rather than trying to find a man like my dad, it is much quicker for me to become a woman like my mom. I still think becoming a woman like my mom is a bit distant. I am really selfish when I date. Since my schedule always changes, it is difficult for me to find time to meet and I don’t know how to solve problems to match with the other’s ideal time. Each time I come by a similar situation like this, I think, ‘If I was my mom, what would I have done?’.”

We asked her, “Is is alright for you to reveal your dating stories publicly?”

She replied, “I have my experiences dating without the public knowing. If I say I never dated, then isn’t that too much of a lie? (Laughter)”

Park Shin Hye said that if she were to have been a real reporter, she would be interested in shantytowns stories. She said, “Nowadays, there a lot of stories of child abuse and school violence. These stories make me feel the victims’ pain and worry about their health. I believe that children are the leaders of our future. I would like to have a child and protect them from all the evils of the world and show them only good things in life.”

If you want to post this again, don't forget to give me (TheFoodMonster) credit.

‘Pinocchio’ Park Shin Hye, “Endlessly I Felt The Freedom To Express My Emotions”

Park Shin Hye looked like she was about to cry whenever reporters asked her questions about ‘Pinocchio’. Even though it has been a few weeks since ‘Pinocchio’ has ended, she seems to not be able to forget the role of Choi Inha. During the interview, she had a hard time to talk about the drama, but she couldn’t hide her affection for ‘Pinocchio’ while remembering all the happy memories she had while filming ‘Pinocchio’.

image_2015-02-01-5.jpg

When asked about the numerous praises Park Shin Hye received after ‘Pinocchio’ ended, she modestly answered, “Of course, I love the praises, but I still feel a little embarrassed. When I receive praises like ‘You are pretty’, I can happily call out, ‘Thank you!” However, if I receive more excessive praises, I feel a bit uncomfortable because I am still not used to those praises even though I am grateful and happy to hear them. I have to try harder to not feel this way.”

During filming, Park Shin Hye was caught on camera laughing and widely smiling which shows how lively and sunny the atmosphere was on the set was like even without checking the filming set. She didn’t even know that she was laughing so loudly and smiling so widely that her teeth were showing until she saw the pictures. She said that she didn’t have to care what others thought of her and could be her usual self because everyone was having a good time and thought of each other as one big family.

image_2015-02-01-6.jpg

She said, “During the year 2009 when I filmed ‘You’re Beautiful’, the filming set was really fun. Even if a leaf fell, I would be laughing. Therefore, I had so many NGs that I got yelled at from the director. However, ‘Pinocchio’ was a whole another level. The filming set of ‘You’re Beatiful’ was nothing compared to ‘Pinocchio’. I had such a good time and had a hard time breathing because I was laughing so much. However, PD-nim didn’t care as much because he was laughing, too.

I understand and 200% agree why Jong Sukkie said that he had missed the filming set of ‘I Hear Your Voice’. I was happy and thankful during ‘Heirs’, but ‘Pinocchio’ is really an ideal filming set. The feeling, I should say that I get is of when you are trying out many famous restaurant but on the way, you find an even more “jackpot” restaurant that serves the best food in the universe. I really was happy and had so much fun.

There were lots of laughter between actors that led to a lot of NG’s during ‘You’re Beautiful’, but during ‘Pinocchio’ there was much more laughter and a lot more NG’s. Park Shin Hye said, “Before, I barely had any NG’s and there were always scenes that only needed two actors, so there were barely any scenes that needed 4 people (Park Shin Hye, Lee Jong Suk, Kim Young Kwang, Lee Yoo Bi).”

"Therefore, whenever the four of us gathered together, a chaotic situation would always occur. If we gather together to film a scene, we chatter, eat, and continuously explode with laughter as if we are still in break. A making film shows the fun times the four of us had together. We burst into laughter after Kim Young Kwang who was supposed to call Lee Yoo Bi with her character name Yoon Yoo Rae instead called her with her real name. Our stomachs growled, so we had trouble trying to hold in our laughter. I had such a good time that I watched the making film numerous times by myself."

Then, who is the atmosphere maker in the filming set of 'Pinocchio'? Park Shin Hye said, "I don't get charmed easily with aegyo, but Lee Jong Suk and Lee Yoo Bi have the best aegyo." She added, "It was all thanks to the drama script." Park Shin Hye said, "Park Hye Ryun writer couldn't be together with us at the filming set, but the drama script was the most significant contributor to the atmosphere of the filming set." and "There wasn't a side script. The drama script was so detailed that we just had to act just as the script says to do. Therefore, all us actors were able to have leisure even in the filming set."

Park Shin Hye believes that 'Pinocchio' is a "project that helped me feel the freedom of expressing my emotions." and "I was able to experience diverse relationships through family, socially, friend, and lovers. It is true that I spend my time to not make a scene awkward. I could freely express a variety of emotions such as the assertiveness of a reporter, the childlike actions in front my dad, the love for only one man, as well as the feeling of friendship. Choi Inha is such a lovely friend to me, so I cannot express the emotions I feel of meeting this wonderful character."

[Interview] Park Shin Hye Talks Having Good Luck with Men, ‘Pinocchio’ and More

2015.02.01

Source:mwave/enewsworld

Park Shin Hye truly has a pure looking face. With flawless skin and clear-cut features, everyone who meets her in person says she has a ‘pretty face.’ It’s a face that looks graceful.

But despite having a graceful face, Park Shin Hye has a very cheerful personality. Watching the actress who is full of aegyo and laughter, it only makes sense why Park Shin Hye was chosen as the lead actress in numerous projects.

She recently added another to her filmography. It is SBS’ Pinochio, which ended on January 15. In Pinochio, Park Shin Hye acted as Choi In Ha who suffers from the made-up disorder called ‘Pinocchio Syndrome,’ which makes her hiccup each time she lies. Acting as the reporter, Park Shin Hye showed fantastic chemistry with her costar Lee Jong Suk as well as her secret admirer Seo Bum Jo (Kim Young Kwang).

From the ‘rising star’ Lee Jong Suk to Kim Young Kwang, Park Shin Hye received love from such fabulous men. As the envy of all the female viewers, Park Shin Hye spilled on having lived as Choi In Ha for the past several months.

image_2015-02-01-7.jpg

- The drama is over. How does it feel?

▶ It still doesn’t feel real. I still feel like the drama will air on Wednesday and that the oppas will be there if I go to the set. More than anything, we were close to all the staff members. I can’t believe that it’s already over.

- Pinocchio was successful in terms of both quality and popularity. What is your secret?

▶ Things that are currently happening coincide with the situations in the drama. I think the viewers sympathized with the situations of looking for the one responsible or media manipulation in terms of various accidents, including the fire accident. When things that might happen in real life were made into a drama, it brought out great sympathy from people. I think that’s what they found to be interesting.

- You acted as a reporter. Does it feel different now when you read articles about yourself?

▶ There are so many people who write good articles about me. But there were times when the things that I said were conveyed differently than what I really meant. I felt bad when that happened but I thought that I should speak clearly in order to not confuse them. I thought that I should choose my words carefully.

- Park Shin Hye seems to be an actress who has a lot of good luck when it comes to men. What do you think?

▶ I agree, hahaha. I really had a lot. It was luck. I just think the timing worked out well. Good scenarios came to me and it really was a blessing. On top of that, I acted alongside rising stars such as Lee Min Ho, Kim Woo Bin, Kim Young Kwang, Lee Jong Suk and more. I’m actually worried about my next project. (smile)

- You had great chemistry with Lee Jong Suk in Pinochio. You had a deep kiss scene in the final episode.

▶ The drama has many kiss scenes and although I feel embarrassed about them now, I didn’t have any thoughts when I was filming them. I was busy discussing which angle would look the best with the PD or deciding what to do with my hands with Lee Jong Suk. I was embarrassed when I was filming the kiss scene in front of the udon restaurant because there were so many people watching.

- All the drama you have appeared have been earning good scores. Do you have your own standard on selecting projects?

▶ First, I choose the project that I feel most confident about. After I read the entire scenario, I think about what I can show through the project before I make the decision. This drama showed the life of a character who took her first step into the real world, which was similar to my situation as a 26 year old. I think that’s why it matched well.

- Wasn’t it hard to act out hiccupping?

▶ It said ‘hiccup’ in between the lines. I just had to memorize them, so it wasn’t that hard.

- Is there anything you learned or developed through this project?

▶ The emotional details got better compared to the time I did The Heirs. Many people praised me saying that my eyes have changed compared to that time. They also tell me that I look less childish. (laughter) I feel like I got rid of the ‘Candy character’ and people tell me that they didn’t know Park Shin Hye had such a cheerful side. I feel like I’ve gained a lot of things.

- What are your goals as an actress?

▶ I would like to be an actress who can turn people’s steps. Anyone can watch the drama but a film has to turn people’s steps to the movie theatre, where it is played. I think I lack the energy to lead the audience because I haven’t acted in many films. I would like to work harder, learn and challenge myself to I have become an actress that can draw people’s attention.

Thanks for sharing the news irene. When she got the new look, I thought she was preparing for
something, like a new drama, a new role. I'm glad she explained it. I like the fringe, so I hope
she'll keep that style for a bit longer, and I also liked her hairstyle on Heartstrings and FBND.

Graduation, relationship and marriage: Park Shin-hye's 20s report

'A successful actress since she was a child', 'One of the leading actresses in her 20s', 'Hallyu actress' and such are all modifiers for Park Shin-hye. If someone asked about her, the answer would be, 'a bright 26-year-old whose job is a celebrity'.

She's as normal as worrying about her school papers and dreaming of getting married one day. Ironically, the regularity of this actress is what makes her stand out in the world of showbiz.

"I'm usually very immature. I worry a lot when it comes to interviews, but since this is a free one, I'm more at ease".

Park is attending Jungang University Department of Theater class of '08. She is disappointed she still hasn't graduated yet.

"I went to school last semester and one of my juniors said I am a nuisance (laughs). He joked that I should be almost ancestral. I agree with him".

We wondered about Park Shin-hye at school. Her biggest task is doing school papers.

"I have to start writing papers this term. It's not as much as I expected. It's pretty much the same. I could skip school every once in a while. I can't do two things at once so I used to concentrate on school when I was going, but now I just want to be done with it because I'm uncomfortable to be around the juniors".

Most actresses her age would be busy settling their basis in the biz and not going to school but Park Shin-hye chose otherwise.

"I wanted to go to school and be normal. It's fun. I can work on shows, meet new people and ride the subway. I wanted to feel freedom since I was 20. I wondered what I could do as a grown up but there's nothing special. I actually miss the uniforms now. It's fun to think about the times back then...I used to want to get rid of the uniforms, but now I miss them".

She was inspired by singer Lee Seung-hwan's words, 'Live life according to your age'. She joined his company Dream Factory a while ago and still calls him 'factory manager'.

"It was natural for me to be at school. The factory manager told me it was right of me to be at school at my age and put that right. He meant he didn't want my whole life to be focused on in showbiz. That's what my manager and parents wanted, too. They wouldn't have forced me but thanks to them I have friends in high school and university".

If she wasn't a student she claims she wouldn't be where she is now.

"I wondered sometimes if I made the right choice about seeing my fellow actresses being so active with their careers. But I wouldn't have been a proper student if I was like them. I didn't make the wrong choice but it was a good one. Without the "Time", I wouldn't have met "You're Beautiful" and there would have been no use for my passport. I am grateful for the life I'm living".

Park Shin-hye thinks she's enjoyed enough. She's been on holidays, been to clubs, danced, drank with friends and so on. There's nothing she hasn't done that others do.

She seemed excited to talk about the clubs in Gangnam she went to a few times. She didn't care if people recognized her or not.

"I like dancing. It's not doing anything bad. It's to relieve stress and I like drinking with my friends, too".

Of course, she's been in relationships too. "It would be a lie to say I haven't".

"I have been in relationships secretly. I realized what it was like to be with someone and then having to break that relationship apart when I acted out the parting scene with Choi Dal-po in "Pinocchio". I cried a lot and hurt. I am very selfish when it comes to relationships. I felt the pressure of the words that say, the mind grows apart when you are apart. It's hard to agree on a time when I am working. I can't focus on him so I feel bad and that's not healthy for a relationship. It all comes down to effort".

She thinks about marriage when she sees her married friends. She's freaked out about it but then again, she knows she can't stay immature forever. In that sense, her parents are her role models.

"I used to think I want my husband to be around my age so that we could be friends. I wanted to be like my parents but seeing the stamps in my passport made me want to do more and feel more. Marriage is not on top list yet".

Her ideal man is like her father and she wants to be like her mother.

"My dad is my ideal type. Although, a man like that is made by a woman like my mother. He's a great guy but she's the one that supports him. She's charming, loving and speaks pretty words. I am very short-tempered and direct so I don't think I can be like her".

Now 12 years into her career, Park Shin-hye is almost middle-aged. She complains her face isn't like it used to be anymore.

"I swell easily thanks to bad kidneys which run in the family. I hate myself in the morning. I'm glad if I don't get eye bags in the morning. I know now why they say you have to take care of yourself at a young age".

She says she reads the 'entertainment column' a lot but she's also very knowledgeable about social issues.

"I honestly can't develop an interest for political matters. It's so hard and I wonder if there is a point of conflict. I am more interested in the way people live like the poor, school violence and child abuse. I agree with enforcing child abuse laws. Recently, I read an article about a grandfather who slept with 7 layers of blankets because he wasn't supported with the basic funds to heat up his home. I was heartbreaking".

Park Shin-hye wants to go to the blossom festival. However, she's busy with her upcoming tour".

"I've never been to a cherry blossom festival. I want to go but I finish work late and I have no boyfriend to take pictures of me".

She's got 3 more years until she's 30. How does she see herself as an actress and as someone's other half?

"I want to be like how I am now when it comes to acting. I want to be able to deliver my feelings well and move people. I think everyone thinks about marriage when they become thirty. I am willing to be a good housewife but before that, I will have to choose between marriage and work, won't I?"

Park Shin Hye’s Unfinished ‘Pinocchio’, and Lee Jong Suk

“Lee Jong Sukkie wore a wig and portrayed the role of Dalpo, but that appearance looked so funny. HAHAHA!!”

Actress Park Shin Hye burst into laughter as if she still remembered that time vividly. As soon as she remembered the time when Lee Jong Suk wore a ugly wig and acted as Dalpo in the SBS Wed-Thurs Drama ‘Pinocchio’, she laughed again as if the word wig was a stimulus for her to start laughing. She said that on one occasion, she was watching the ‘Dalpo Clip’ and she didn’t notice that Lee Jong Sukkie was right behind her and she yelled, “AW~THIS IS SO FUNNY!” She got scolded by Jong Sukkie after that. She said that she almost died trying to comfort hurt Lee Jong Sukkie who was really mad. Lee Jong Sukkie said to her, “You insulted me.” She proudly boasted her heart-warming friendship consisting of a lot of bickering with Lee Jong Suk.

“Lee Jong Suk, He Has A Lot Of Aegyo So That Makes Him A More Lovable Friend”
It seems that she starts to laugh whenever she remembers Lee Jong Suk. You could see that they were trying to keep a distance between each other’s hearts since they were leaving an intimate relationship they had because of work and now they were becoming closer to each other as close friends instead.

“He is a really lovely friend. He also has a lot of aegyo. ‘The Filming Set’s Flower’ title is usually given to a female actress, but this time, should I say that I was stolen the title by Lee Jong Sukkie? This is really the first time I lost the title to a male actor. I really don’t know where he got his aegyo from. When I asked him, he answered that it was a ‘Tactic To Survive and Live’. HAHAHA. He is a friend who has a lot of loveliness imbedded in his body.”

She co-starred with a lot of male actors in their 20s such as Lee Min Ho, Kim Woo Bin, and Jang Geun Suk as well as Lee Jong Suk. We asked her what was different about Lee Jong Suk and she answered, ‘Warmth’.

“While we had a conversation and rehearsal with each other, I felt, ‘Ah, He is a friend who has so much warmth in his eyes.’ His eyes were different from the eyes of those actors who had a cool and masculine image. The harmony between me and him during acting was really good and we matched well. Thanks to him, I was able to laugh a lot while acting.”

Even at a single glance, you can see that these two people were really close to each other. Therefore, we asked if they felt awkward while acting the many love scenes in ‘Pinocchio’. Then, Park Shin Hye revealed the story behind the toast love scene to answer this question.

‘It was during the start of filming ‘Pinocchio’, so this was before we became close to each other. However, we had to film that love scene as the first scene for that morning. We thought that we just had to film with a sweet atmosphere and act the scene, but the director kept on saying, ‘Have you guys never dated before?’ and made us act sweetly. Since we were filming that scene in front of everyone looking at us, do you know how much we wanted to gag? Then, when I looked at the lighting team oppa-deul, they must have been more immersed into our roles more than us because they started to make chewing movements with their mouth. I started to bluntly say, ‘Oppa-deul, why are you making chewing movements?’ HAHAHA!”

‘Pinocchio’, A Story That Is Not Over Yet
‘Pinocchio’ means much more than just a drama to Park Shin Hye. Inha’s growth throughout the drama reminded Park Shin Hye of herself. Park Shin Hye stated that her feelings are exactly the same as Inha because everything Inha felt in the drama was what Park Shin Hye felt during her career.

“‘Pinocchio’ is a drama that I have not finished yet. The feeling of emptiness Inha felt sometimes in the drama is what I am feeling right now. But, this is an issue I have to go through sooner or later.”

There are a lot of similarities between Inha and Park Shin Hye. This was why Park Shin Hye was able to comfortably be immersed into the role of Inha.

“Inha’s blunt speech and straightforward personality are really like me. HAHAHA!! I like to laugh loudly which is like Inha. I feel so refreshed that I was able to portray a character who was like me and act a role that I wanted to do.”
