‘Running Man’ ratings increases with Lee Seung Gi’s appearance

Singer + actor Lee Seung Gi‘s variety feel has helped ‘Running Man’ power past its competitors.

According to AGB Nielsen Research on the 19th, the November 18th episode of SBS ‘Good Sunday’ has recorded 16.6% ratings, beating out its main competing program KBS 2TV ‘Happy Sunday’ by 3.7%, which recorded 12.9% ratings. On the November 11th broadcast ‘Happy Sunday’ had recorded 15.4%, which put it right on the heels of ‘Good Sunday’s 17.6% ratings.
‘Good Sunday’ had put a full stop to ‘Happy Sunday’s furious chase by guest starring Lee Seung Gi and premiering the 2nd season of ‘K-Pop Star’.

Individual segments of the program had all recorded better ratings than ‘Happy Sunday’s. ‘Running Man’ recorded 20.7% ratings and ‘K-Pop Star’ recorded 14% ratings. On the other hand ’1 Night 2 Days’ recorded 16.7% ratings and the ‘Qualifications of Men’ recorded a disappointing 8.5% ratings.

SBS ‘Good Sunday’s main segment ‘Running Man’ had invited Lee Seung Gi and Park Shin Hye as guests for a thrilling race of secret agents. Only 8 months ago Lee Seung Gi was starring on two #1 variety shows in ratings for their respective time slots. The excellent variety talent he’s shown on ‘Strong Heart’ and ’1 Night 2 Days’ was still very much intact.

Lee Seung Gi entertained the viewers with his patented hudang character and uncanny wits. ‘Running Man’ is a program which the guests have much influence on the entertainment value of each episode. Lee Seung Gi had shown once again why he’s so much sought after as an MC of variety programs and he’s also proven he’s a ratings monster by helping ‘Running Man’ record excellent ratings.
